An oldie in my portfolio but a project I loved working on. Unilever’s “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” (during the Fabio era) had it’s own romance/cooking website. It was a diary format, written soap opera style, chronicling the heroine’s quest for romance. She loved to cook (with ICBINB) and there were recipes placed within the “pages” of the diary. Illustrations and web page layouts were drawn by me, by hand, in 60’s comic book style. Banner ads placed throughout online media drew weekly readers to the “blog”.
This campaign was written up as a feature in AdWeek and nominated for an ANDY Award.
